Northern University
The university is presently based in its city campus, at Nowshera. The campus is centrally located and is easily accessible through public transport. Suitable land (124 Kanals) has been acquired for the main campus at Nowshera, and the foundation stone for the main block was laid by Mr. Khalil Ur Rehman, Governor NWFP in April 2005 The university presently has four faculties, with adequate facilities to become center of excellence in its own right.   • The university has completed 3rd phase of building campus. Construction of mosque is in progress.4th Phase Inauguration by the governor Planned in Nov/Dec.

  • The improvement in the intake of university admissions and graduating student’s performance is a clear indication of its quality control.

  • Road construction has certain hindrance but management is per suing with the government to open the road by Nov 2007.

  • Admission forms can be obtained from Admission Office of Northern University on payment of Rs. 300.00

Fee Structure Fee Chart

Fees payable fall under two categories:

  1. Admission Fee (one time only, see Fee Chart for details)
  2. Semester Fees (which include the Semester Registration Fee and Tuition Fee)
    1. Semester Registration Fee (Rs 1000 for Spring and Fall Semesters and Rs 500 for Summer Semester)
    2. Tuition Fee is computed by the Credit Hours (where each Faculty has different Credit hour fee, as given below)

Notes:

EDR Trust is subsidizing the tuition Fees by 40% in all the programs and EDRTrust reserves the right to revise this subsidy as and when required. Engineering program is not accredited by Pakistan Engineering Council.

To compute the Tuition Fee, you have to multiply the total credit hours with their respective Credit Hour Rate.
For example in BSCS degree program:
If you are taking  6 credit hours from Faculty of Sciences, 3 credit hours from Admin Sciences and 6 credit hours from Arts.
Your Tuition Fee will work out to be =   6 x 1000 +  3 x 1100  +  6 x 850   =   Rs. 14,400/-

All fees with regards to the degree programs and their respective faculties are given in the Fee Chart below. Please note that the Fee Chart also gives a complete breakdown of the degree programs, mentioning faculty wise credit hours in each program.



Fee Refund Policy

  • Admission fee is not refundable.
  • Semester Fees are refundable according to the following schedule:
  • Full amount up to two weeks before commencement of classes.
  • 75% of the amount up to one week before commencement of classes.
  • 50% of the amount within one week after commencement of classes.
  • No refund from second week onwards.
  • An enrolled student will not be refunded any fee if he/she drops a course or semester after the beginning of the classes.
  • Tuition Fee will be refunded/transferred/adjusted to the next semester if a course is cancelled and an alternate course is not offered.
  • Tuition fee will be transferred/adjusted to the next semester if a student drops a course or semester within one week of the start of classes.
