Facilities

• The library has over 16,000 books, covering all major subjects to support students at every academic level.

• There is internet access inside the library, allowing students to browse, study, and do research online with ease.

• The library provides study materials for BS, MPhil, and PhD students, making it useful for both basic and advanced academic needs.

• Students can access a wide range of research articles and academic journals to help with assignments and theses.

• The library remains open after regular university hours, so students can continue their study or research in a calm and quiet space.

• The library offers comfortable seating and clean study areas, suitable for both group discussions and individual study.

Hostel Rules and Regulations

• Maintain silence during designated quiet hours (08:00 pm to 06:00 am).

• Random visits to the rooms to ensure discipline.

• No weapons are allowed in the premises of the university.

• The Harassment Committee is responsible for dealing complaints of harassment and maintaining a safe, respectful environment; students are required to report such incidents to this committee.

• The Anti-Drug and Tobacco Committee promotes awareness and enforces rules to prevent drug and tobacco use among students; if any student encourages others to use such substances, the matter must be reported to the committee.

• Check-in and check-out at the hostel are permitted only between 6:00 AM and 8:00 PM.

• Inform the warden before departing for home during vacations.

• Keep rooms, common areas, and washrooms clean.

• Smoking and drugs are strictly prohibited.

• Heaters and gas cylinders are strictly prohibited inside the rooms.

• Avoid disturbing roommates by playing loud music or keeping lights on late at night.

• Follow the instructions of the warden and hostel authorities at all times.

• Visitors are allowed only during permitted hours from Monday to Sunday (10:00 am to 06:00 pm) and must be registered.

• Avoid damaging hostel furniture, electrical appliances, and other property.

• Any form of bullying or violence is strictly prohibited.

• The hostel warden can place any student in any room based on sociocultural, linguistic, and other factors. This ensures a multicultural environment for students from diverse backgrounds to interact and learn.

• Avoid discussions on religious sects and politics.

• In case of any violation of the above-mentioned rule(s), a fine will be imposed based on the severity and nature of the offence.

Location

The library is centrally located within the Northern University campus, making it easy to reach from all academic departments, classrooms, and administrative offices. Its convenient location helps students and faculty save time and easily access study materials whenever needed.
